The mission of the Estacada Area Arts Commission is to make the arts a presence in the community, enhance the culture of the community by supporting local artists, connect with larger regional arts organizations, and encourage the arts in education.
The Estacada Area Arts Commission was established by the Estacada City Council in September 1997. The Council appoints seven volunteers who serve a two-year term. Currently our commission consists of:
PO Box 958, Estacada, OR 97023
The Arts Commission’s has three main projects:
- Estacada Summer Celebration
Celebrated annually during the 4th weekend in July, the heart of downtown Estacada becomes filled with live musical performances, dancing, puppet shows, street performers, art booths, a silent art auction, and hands-on art activities for children and families. All this takes place while the Artback Artists paint their annual large-scale mural, and it is all FREE. This event is made possible from grants received from the Regional Arts and Culture Council and the Clackamas Cultural Coalition, and from donations from community members like you! We thank you.
Throughout the year, the Arts Commission tries to enrich the community by bringing culturally diverse events to the area and developing and improving the quantity, quality, accessibility, and affordability of arts and culture for our citizens.
