“Who Said Water and Electricity Don’t Mix”
by Jeff Schnabel
Despite the gray rainy weather, I fought the desire to spend my visit to the power generation facility on the inside. Instead I wandered the site impressed by the extraordinary link between human mechanics and natural forces, particularly the force of water. Although the river and the flume were powerful conditions on the site, the moment where electricity and water found a poetic meeting was in the reflections of small puddles. A modest reminder that power generation begins with a gentle shower.
